CoronaLiveUpdates: Indian Railways Starts Manufacturing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

With the ever growing demand for personal protective equipment (PPE) for medical professionals fighting the Corona virus crisis, Indian Railways has started manufacturing the PPE and hopes to supply 30,000 kits by end of April. At a time where all countries are demanding the PPE and its getting difficult to import the PPE, this is a big step by Indian Railways to help ease the demand-supply gap. Indian Railways also estimates that the month of May could see a supply of 1,00,000 PPE. To recap, Indian Railways has already converted train bogies to isolation wards to help ease the shortage of hospitals and wards in India.
