Even though Sholay came out over four decades ago, there can always be a new improvised ver-sion right? Even though the movie had many renowned names playing lead, what’s to say that the stars of today can’t nail them?
Sholay made history then, and it can, again! Here’s what the cast would look like if we switched the stars in each role.
1) Jai – Amitabh Bachchan to Ranveer Singh
We’ve seen Ranveer prove himself from Band Baaja Baraat to Bajiao Mastani & Gully Boy. He’s done some of the best movies we’ve seen today and we think he could nail Jai like no other.
2) Veeru – Dharmendra to Arjun Kapoor
He’s a Khatron ke Khiladi, his chemistry with Ranveer Singh is undeniable great, and he delivers his job well. With Ranveer- Arjun’s chemistry and wit, a new Sholay would be a hit!

3) Basanti – Hema Malini to Deepika Padukone
The picture says it all. There’s no questions asked when Deepika flawlessly wins hearts on screen and offscreen, and she’s done very different roles, proving herself as one of the most versatile ac-tresses every time.
